Kostruba Anatolii was born in 1978 in Simferopol in a family of employees. He was educated in secondary school No. 9 (Simferopol, Ukraine).

In 1995 he entered the Law Faculty of M. V. Frunze State University of Simferopol (Tavrida National V. I. Vernadsky University).

After graduating from Tavrida National V. I. Vernadsky University (2000), he studied at the postgraduate program of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. Ph.D. in Law (2004).

From 2003 to 2014 he was an Assistant, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor of the Civil and Labor Law Department of Tavrida National V. I. Vernadsky University. Associate Professor (2009).

From 2014 to 2019 Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of Private Law and Entrepreneurship named after Academician F. H. Burchak of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv city). Doctor of Law (2015).

Since 2015, Professor of the Civil Law Department of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (Ivano-Frankivsk city).

Since 2015, Professor of the Civil Law Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Law of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

2019 – Professor.

In 2022 he was a visiting professor at the University of Bologna (Bologna, Italy).

He is married and has three children.

Jobs, professional experience

He started his career in 1998 as a lawyer of a joint stock company (Simferopol, Ukraine).

He worked as a legal adviser of the executive committee of Zaliznychnyi District Council of Simferopol (2003-2005)].

In 2002 he was elected a deputy of Zaliznychnyi District Council of Simferopol of the XXIV convocation. Chairman of the Standing Mandate Commission on Deputy Ethics and Activities, Law and Order.

Since 2003, he worked as a member of the academic staff at the Tavrida National V. I. Vernadsky University.

Since 2005 he is engaged in private legal practice. Lawyer (2007). He is a member of the Ukrainian National Bar Association. He is a member of the Committee on Investment and Privatization, which operates within the UNBA.

Since 2015, Professor of the Civil Law Department of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine).

In 2022, he was invited by Vilnius University (Vilnius, Lithuania) to teach academic subjects for students of higher education institutions who suspended the educational process as a result of Russia’s military aggression.

Since 2019, he is a member of the Sectoral Expert Council of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (Minutes No. 9 dated August 29, 2019).

Research activities

Kostruba A. V. acted as Deputy Chairman of the Specialized Academic Council D 20.051.14 with the right to consider and conduct the defense of theses for the degree of Ph.D. in Law, training program 12.00.03 at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, and was also a member of the Specialized Academic Council D 64. 086.02 with the right to consider and conduct the defense of theses for the degree of Doctor (PhD) of Law, training program 12.00.01, 12.00.03, 12.00.12 at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

Currently, he is a member of the Specialized Academic Council with the right to consider and conduct the defense of theses for the degree of Doctor of Law, training program 12.00.03 and 12.00.08 at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

He is a member of Section 18 “Law” of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated June 20, 2019 No. 859 “On approval of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the list and personnel of sections in professional fields”).

Educational and methodical activity

He teaches the following disciplines at the University: “Civil Law of Ukraine” for 2nd and 3rd year students, “Personal Non-Property Rights” for 1st year masters, training program “Private Law”, “Actual Problems of Intellectual Property Law” for applicants of higher education level “Doctor of Philosophy” (PhD) , “Civil Law” for 3rd year students training program “International and European Law”.

Organizational activity

For two years he was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Supreme Court (Resolution of the Supreme Court Plenum dated March 30, 2018 No. 3). He was awarded the gratitude of the Chairman of the Supreme Court (Order dd. June 19, 2019 No. 1662-K).

He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (Decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine dd. April 9, 2019 No. 12-п / 2019).

He is a member of the editorial board of a number of international periodical professional publications, including those indexed in the international scientometric database Scopus Scopus & Web of Science: 1.
