The Civil Law Department is a structural subdivision of the University and the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law, which provides teaching of private law subjects to full-time and part-time students of bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, postgraduate students of training program 081 «Law», as well as students of bachelor’s degree of the Faculty of Tourism, conducts educational and methodological work, organizes and carries out organizational and research activities

Part-time professor of the Department is the chief researcher of the Private Law Department of the Research Institute of Private Law and Entrepreneurship named after Academician F. H. Burchak of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor O. V. Zaichuk, Associate Professors of the Department are Deputy Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Law, Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor O. S. Oliinyk, Head of the Corporate Law Problems Laboratory, Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor L. V. Sishchuk, Lecturer of the Department, Head of the International Relations Department of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ph.D. in Law. M. M. Sygydyn.

Auxiliary activities on organizational and technical support of the Department are performed by Senior Assistant I.Y. Lukaniuk.

Supplementary activity on organizational and technical support of the Department is performed by Senior Assistant I. Ya. Lukaniuk. The Department is a graduating department for the training of bachelors (educational and professional program «Law»), masters, postgraduate students and PhD students of training program 081 «Law».

The educational and professional program for applicants for master’s degree provides advanced study of specialized subjects, acquisition of knowledge and formation of professional competencies in the field of private and corporate law. The educational process is provided with educational, methodological and information materials, on the development and improvement of which the academic staff of the Department works constantly.

Research activity is carried out by lecturers according to the approved topic of research of the Department.

The result of the research activities of the Department are defended theses, research publications: monographs, research articles, abstracts at conferences, round tables, research events organized by the Department, participation in international, national and regional research events held by research and educational institutions to discuss topical issues of legal science. Research work of students is managed by lecturers according to the topics of research work of the Department. The Department has a student research club called «Civil Law Club». The result of students’ research work is the participation of students in competitions of research works, preparation of presentations and participation in student research conferences.

The Educational and Research Institute of Law has an educational and methodological room of the Civil Law Department (room 209), where the classes of master’s students, the work of the research student club, meetings of the Department are usually held.
